    Well, for the last 3 years or so, I've been doing my own taxes online via Turbo Tax. I use my last paystub, because all the info you need is on there. You also need your employer's Federal Tax ID, which may or may not be on your pay stub. Then I always submit my stuff the very first day you are allowed to. And yes, I try to save my tax returns for as long as I can.
